Welcome to Redwood Raks World Dance Studios, in the historic Old Creamery Building just off the plaza in downtown Arcata and now in an Annex Studio on Samoa Blvd between I & J Streets. Directed by Shoshanna, these vibrant spaces house classes taught by an amazing array of world dance artists, workshops, music and dance performances, and marvelous special events.

Starting in February, we'll open our Redwood Raks Samoa Annex Studio. How Exciting!
The new studio is at 920 Samoa Blvd, Ste 203 (between I & J Streets on Samoa Blvd, up the stairs on the left)

Presented by V-Day Humboldt 2010
Featuring performances by Aerialists including members of Synapsis, Burlesque Cabaret Dancers, Cock Tales, and Belly Dancers, followed by a Dance Party with SambAmore and local fire dancers. All proceeds benefit WISH (Women's Shelter in So Hum), Humboldt Domestic Violence Services, Six Rivers Planned Parenthood, North Coast Rape Crisis Team and The Emma Center

BEGINNING HOOP DANCE WORKSHOP

Clowns Without Borders is a comedy show of global proportions
The performance is a benefit for Clowns Without Borders, a international humanitarian organization that sends expeditions of laughter into conflict zones and refugee camps worldwide since 1993. All proceeds of the show will help send local performing artists to provide immediate relief to the victims of the Haiti Earthquake as well as separate expeditions to the Lacandon jungles in Chiapas Mexico, and other areas of crisis.

The show promises to be an evening and afternoon of eccentric physical comedy, magic and mayhem with performances by International Artists from around the world. The performance promises to tickle your funny bone and provide side splitting entertainment suitable for all ages.
